Saturday round-up and other news

By Carla Callaghan on Jul 13, 08 10:44 AM in

First of all....it's my mum's birthday today, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!!!

on a sadder note, the mood of T in the Park was darkened today as news came out of a stabbing in one of the campsites.... more news of this to come from Katy.

Yesterday was a brilliant day crammed with great acts. As i mentioned before, The Stranglers were superb as were Glasvegas....although, this tent was rammed with people, so i only heard them from the outside! The Kooks and The Fratellis got the crowds going as hundreds packed into the stages to see them. Rage Against the Machine brought Saturday to a rapturous close... these guys certainly know how to rock and the crowd were loving it!!

With festivities getting underway soon, Sunday offers Amy Winehouse, Primal Scream and REM.. it's going to be a busy day for the T in the Park digi team!

Keep it bloginthepark.co.uk for all the live news!!

bye for now!!!!

Gavin McInally - Festival veteran Gavin McInally will chalk up his 34th festival, and eighth T In The Park over the weekend, in search of a crushing bass line and some growling vocals amongst the indie flood at Balado. The Paisley Daily Express digital scribe is looking forward to the triumphant return of Raging Against The Machine, record breaking Biffy Clyro, checking out the hotly-tipped new Relentless Stage and, embarrassingly, Counting Crows… Not to mention the obligatory pint.
