Friday Night, dresses, costumes, sun and great music!

By Carla Callaghan on Jul 12, 08 09:51 AM in

Hi guys! Well, we made it to Balado with no traffic problems which was fab! First act i seen was KT Tunstall....she was really good, playing stuff from her debut album Eye to the Telescope and some hits from her new album Drastic Fantastic. The weather was surprisingly good, with alot of sun-burned faces and shoulders on show.

In between bands, me and Katy have a look round the site, meeting (to name but a few) Elvis, superman, batman and a giant penguin......yes, it's fancy-dress Friday! We have a look at some of the cool stalls..... me and Katy end up buying dresses..... we must be the only people who go clothes shopping at T in the Park!

Next up was Feeder, who were immense as usual. Playing Insomnia from their early album Yesterday Went Too Soon and recent hits such as Buck Rodgers and Just the Way I'm Feeling.

After Feeder, its straight round to the mainstage to catch The Verve. Being a fan of their early stuff, i was hoping for a nostalgia trip... Playing History, Bitter Sweet Symphony and Sonnet, Ashcroft was in top form, and the band were fab,,,,,although i can't say i'm much of a fan of their new stuff.

Walked by the King Tuts tent, only to be dazzled with mad strobe light action, The Futureheads seemed to be bringing the house/tent down.

Its the morning of Day two..... must get ready, 'cos there's hunners to see today - Glasvegas, The Pogues, Rage and many more!

Ciao for now!
